A recent CareerBuilder survey revealed that over a third of employees have called in sick when not actually ill, with common reasons including not wanting to go to work, needing to see a doctor, or wanting to relax. Some employees offer outlandish excuses, ranging from ozone flattening tires to a llama’s illness. Employers are cracking down, with 22% having fired employees for faking sick days, often by monitoring social media or even conducting wellness checks.
