Google’s Vulnerability Rewards Program (VRP) for Android has paid out over $550,000 in its first year, rewarding individuals who find and report security vulnerabilities. Top earner Peter Pi made over $75,000 for submitting 26 reports. Google has increased payouts, particularly for complex exploits, and now offers 33% more for high-quality reports with proof of concept, and 50% more for including a potential fix.
